Salmon Harvester Survey
Attention all commercial salmon harvesters in British Columbia!
Your opinions and concerns about the future of Pacific Salmon and the commercial salmon fishing industry are needed for a research study conducted by Elias del Valle, a Master’s student at the University of Victoria.
This study aims to understand the impacts of current DFO policies and measure trust levels between commercial salmon harvesters and DFO. If you are an owner-operator, skipper, or crew member in gillnet, seine, or troll fisheries, you are eligible to participate in a short survey that will take only 5-10 minutes of your time. By sharing your insights, you have a chance to win $200 in a draw.
The commercial salmon fishery is facing a critical juncture, and this is an important opportunity to have your voices and opinions heard. The more people who participate, the greater the chance that this research will be published in scientific journals where it will be read and considered by science and policymakers.
